Bill Wall was an extraordinary musician, teacher & man. A highly respected virtuoso on the drums, he played & taught around Melbourne for 20 years. At the height of his musical powers, Bill tragically took his own life in 1999. As a teenager, Danny was a drum student of Bill’s, he was a mentor & hero. 15 years later Danny decided to make the short film 'Walls' in the hope of giving Bill the recognition he truly deserved. The podcast is a compilation of audio from the film in honour of Bill. You’ll hear guests discuss his talent, the language of music & the battle he fought against himself unfortunately in isolation. Time heals & life has gone on for the players in Bill's story but Bill remains ever present in their lives & in their dreams.
