A Mercedes crashed into a home in Whitby just before midnight after allegedly speeding through suburban streets, becoming airborne after hitting a ditch. The impact lifted the roof, caused multiple cracks, shifted window frames, severed a water main and damaged two power boxes, leaving the front entrance and adjacent bedroom too unsafe to enter. A 32-year-old woman has been charged with drunk driving.
