When I turned 18 and I was eligible to vote for the first time, I asked my dad, “Who should I vote for?” He was like, “What are you talking about? If you’re Black you vote Democrat.” I just did not understand why everything has to be based on color. That’s when you lose me. I did not want to follow a herd. Yes, there’s strength in numbers; but there is also strength in your mind.

The (D) Democrat party supported slavery from its founding in 1828.

The (R) Republican party was founded in 1854 to oppose slavery.

The first Republican President, (R) Abraham Lincoln, abolished slavery with the Emancipation Proclamation on September 22, 1862.

This (R) Republican act was later celebrated on June 19, 1866 and it has been celebrated as "Juneteenth" ever since.

The Democrat party founded the KKK.

The Republican party founded the NAACP.

Dr. Martin Luther King registered as a Republican in 1956.

A much higher percentage of Republican lawmakers supported the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than Democrats. 

Democrats have always opposed civil rights for pre-born babies and still do.

Democrat racist Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood advanced the "Negro Project" and wrote in her autobiography about speaking to a Democrat KKK group and advocating, "the gradual suppression, elimination, and eventual extinction, of defective stocks - those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization."
