Technically this is a Kerry Tech Talks as I caught up with Emily Brick recently to discuss Athena Analytics based out of Tralee. Emily’s background in data science and analytics combined with some early exposure to the school’s system led her to found Athena Analytics.

Our school’s system are busy, busy places and young people can find themselves out of sync and not achieving their individual potential. Athena’s mission was to tackle the “data problem” in schools. That is, taking the large amounts of data schools are looking at every day and translating them into interpretable and actionable results.

Emily and I discussed how their platform can help support the individual at the heart of the school system as well as how school administration staff can reap the rewards of real time data analysis.
