We are sharing a Hurricane Katrina story y’all! In 2005, our friend Pam went to New Orleans to be with her dying father and ended up getting stuck right as the storm was coming at them. She recounts the events that transpire after his death and how she and her family fought to escape the historical storm. Nydia shares the timeline of Katrina events and Dana tells the delightful tale of the Ursuline Vampires also known as the Casket Girls of New Orleans. For dinner we served Shrimp Po’Boy sandwiches with Famega white wine and for dessert we tried air fryer beignets.
