In this week’s episode, Alec and Matthew talk to the very funny Dulce Sloan, a comedian and correspondent on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” with Trevor Noah.  Dulce gets open and honest about Black Mental Health and the stigma in the black community surrounding the notion of going to therapy.  Dulce was raised in a community that puts the welfare of black men before her own and admits she looks for mental health support within her own circle—for free!  Self-care is something she’s still processing and reveals the one thing it would take for her to actually go to a therapist.  Alec gets candid about his own personal journey with therapy and the importance that his son go to a black therapist.  Does it matter the race of your therapist and how does that play into the healing process?  Alec and Dulce dish on their recent experience working together on a film in Puerto Rico and her big on-set crush.  Dulce shares her desire to be a Mom one day and reminds us all to check on your friends…even your strong ones!
