Distraction comes from the Latin root word “separate” - to pull apart, to divide. When we are distracted we are unable to focus and we become confused. We need to realize that the enemy is constantly using distractions against us to lead us down the road of sin. To overcome distractions we should set our minds on things above rather than the things that on earth constantly vying for our attention.
