On this episode of DAB, Tun sits down with Mani Coolin, a local Rap Artist from Los Angeles who made a name for himself through his popularity and connections and roots to a cool and adventurous Los Angeles lifestyle. We first start off our conversation with Mani telling us about how it was for him growing up in LA with just him and his mom for the first 9 years of his life due to his father being incarcerated. He goes on to explain how death was introduced to him early in life due to the lifestyle of the people in the Community he was in. Mani would go on to explain how getting older and going to hang out on Fairfax and even attending Fairfax high school gave him and his friends a serious escape from their reality. And by being over there and around so many different type of people who started getting into fashion and rapping early rather than gang banging, that gave him the outlet and opportunity he needed to start his rap career.
