Performing singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/arranger Marianne Osiel is a consummate musician with her music rooted in classical, blues, folk, and even jazz. A sought-after “sideman” starting with her years in Nashville, she’s played, sung,  and/or recorded with her slide guitar, oboe, flute, and voice, with such artists as John Hall, Nanci Griffith, Rachel Sage, Gatemouth Brown, Roy Orbison, and others. Marianne made her living for a decade with the Nashville Symphony (oboe), even soloing with them during many of the Pops concerts as guest vocalist/songwriter. Marianne’s original recordings include Strange Girl (singer/songwriter), Full of Wholes I and II (singer/songwriter), a “live” album recorded at the infamous Bluebird Café in Nashville, and“How The Light Gets In”, an all-improvised, all-instrumental CD featuring Marianne on the oboe in duet with four New York keyboardists. 
Currently, Marianne is teaching music (oboe, voice, guitar, music theory, songwriting)   privately in Ulster County, New York, along with Zoom classes.
