When you hail from the land where the Hold in the Horn Buck originated and the land of Ten Point Crossbows, you know you're in a good spot.  Dustin Kismore, the taxidermist behind Bill Wilson's 190" double droptine mount (Bill was on this show in Episode #95), knows this area very well. Dustin hunts the urban area around Portage County, Ohio and knows there's potential for a transient buck to cruise through his set up at anymore, a set he doesn't mind hunting frequently.  Dustin is looking forward to mounting his cousin's buck grossing 241 inches, but for now, he shares many tips and strategies on how to get your trophy buck out of the field in onto the taxidermist's form effectively and without error.  Dustin believes in ozone, hunting out of treestands, cooling deer with frozen ice jugs instead of ice, and hunting when the moon is underfoot.   OUR SPONSORS: ScentLok Enforcer www.ScentLokEnforcer.com Eurohanger www.facebook.com/eurohanger Morse's Sporting Goods www.MorseSportingGoods.com DEER NEWS:  Exodus Place Makes Ted Nugent Ambassador One Antlered Deer Moves into Jackie Robinson Park in Harlem Illinois Gun Hunters Kill 79,000 Deer  Law Makers Want Tougher Poaching Penalties in Missouri HERE'S WHAT WE DISCUSS: Portage County, Ohio, Famous for the Hole in the Horn and Ten Point Crossbows Taxidermy and Bill Wilson's Double Droptine A 241" Buck Mount, and a 3 Year Hunt Being Tight Lipped About Big Bucks A Philosophy of Hunting - It's Primal Getting a 98% on a Hunter Safety Test at Age 5 In the Woods in 15 Mins, Close to Home Dustin's Gear Check I Firmly Believe in Ozone, My Wife Married Into Hunting 99% Hunting from Treestands, Urban Ohio Deer Hunting Hunting the Same Set Over and Over The Transient Buck Theory The Family Farm in Spruce Knob, West Virginia Old Lock On Contender Climbers Field to Form - Making the Right Cuts Using Gallon Jugs to Cool Your Deer Getting Your Deer Out of the Woods Correctly Cuts Above the Knee, Follow the Hairline Fold the Hide Neatly, Fold it In For Dust, Just a Damp Rag Avoid Dry Heat and Fire Places and Sunlight Have a Relationship with a Local Taxidermist for Best Results What if the Taxidermy Doesn't Go Your Way, Is there a Point of No Return?
