Dutch oven cooking is making a comeback. This time-tested method of cooking used to be popular out of necessity. Requiring no electricity and very little additional equipment, chuck wagon style cooking kept people alive in the back country and when exploring the West for years. There have been several occasions when our power has gone out and it only took a few minutes to set up an outdoor kitchen on the back porch with a few Dutch ovens.
