Dyah Davis a former N.A.B.F. Super Middleweight Champion and CEO/Head Trainer at Boca Boxing District. He joins Life After Sports Podcast hosted by Kevin Johnson. He shares being born and raised in New York City. Dyah Davis comes from a legacy of boxing from his grandfather and his father Howard Davis Jr. (Olympic Gold Medalist). He shares that he was interested in boxing at the age of 22, when he spoke to his dad about taking this craft seriously. His father challenged him to lose weight and change his diet. His father gave him an invitation to come down to South Florida and to train with him to start his professional boxing career. Mr. Davis discusses his early beginnings in his professional career. He skipped the amateur boxing and went straight into professional boxing. He mentioned that he started coaching other boxers while currently being a professional boxer at the same time. His father wanted to set his son up for success after playing professionally. Dyah's father played a pivotal point in his life from teaching, coaching, and being a mentor to him has impacted his life tremendously.
