A recent study revealed that over 90% of The Great Barrier Reef in Australia has been severely bleached due to alarmingly warm sea temperatures. As a result, many of these corals could die, which would have a catastrophic effect on the ocean life that feed off the coral. Meanwhile, another new study suggests that there is strong evidence tying the dying coral to climate change. We discussed this study and the future of coral reef systems with Dr. Noah Diffenbaugh, an Associate Professor and Senior Fellow at Stanford University
