Dynasty Deep Dive

With the September 1st MLB roster expansions right around the corner, Nate Eckert (@GQMiLB) and Michael Kelley (@MKelley_ND) each take a league (Nate-NL / Mikey-AL) and name one prospect per team who he believes should be promoted. They run through all 30 teams.

That's not all. Nate has his prospect nominations for The Deep Dive Squad!!

All on the latest episode of Dynasty Deep Dive!!

Hosts Nate Eckert (@GQMiLB) and Michael Kelley (@MKelley_ND), both dive into equally treacherous waters.

Nate takes us through the Bermuda Triangle of teenage wunderkinds, the Dominican Summer League. He enters a fantastical land where everyone hits in the .300s, has a 1:1 BB:K ratio, and steals leagues of bases, seemingly at will.

Mikey trudges through the deep and dark waters of Arizona and traverse the sparse desert otherwise known as Florida. As he names the Complex League standouts, we shall remember just how young these players truly are. With that, too shall we remember just how many of these teens are actually rostered in all Fantrax Leagues. Or should we say, not actually rostered!

Fair or not, to each standout, your team shall benefit from all the shiny treasures Nate and Mikey have unearthed!!

Join Nate Eckert (@GQMiLB) and Jeremy Mahy (@_JMahy_) as they go through their second-half "surgeons." That is, starting pitchers who are trending in the right direction leading into the second half of the season.

Hence the phrasing "second half surge" mixed with those dastardly young "surgeons" as they slice and dice hitters across MiLB. These are the young arms you want on your team.

Six (SP's) from Nate. Six (SP's) from Jeremy. With two lil' caveats. 1. 3 of the 6 are owned in 0-10% of all Fantrax Leagues. And 2. the other 3 of 6 are owned in 10-20% of all Fantrax Leagues.

These are the types of names, and these are the types of moves that separate you from the competition. Thus, it'd be wise to check out this latest episode of Dynasty Deep Dive!!

Nate Eckert (@GQMiLB) and Michael Kelley (@MKelley_ND) welcome special guest Jarrod Vickery (@jvickery55) as they pit each other's top prospects against one another in a format like the World Cup!

Seeds 1-16 for both Team USA (Nate) and Team World (Michael) face off in a head-to-head tournament, designed to discover exactly who is the best prospect in the world!

Whose seeds will fly highest? Will there be upsets? Or will it all be chalk? Find out here on Dynasty Deep Dive!!!

Prepare for the ultimate deep dive!

Nate Eckert (@GQMiLB) and Michael Kelley (@MKelley_ND) invite Futures Focus host - and all-around great guy - Jeremy Mahy (@_JMahy_) back to the show to participate in the inaugural Five Percenters Club Challenge!!

All three name their all-world squads from the Minors, but with only one small caveat. Their teams must be comprised of players owned in 5% or less of all Fantrax leagues. Let that sink in.

Top-to-bottom, three teams, all of which, the players are owned in less that 5% of all Fantrax leagues. The players named - due to their excessively low ownership(s) - play contrarian to the unfair belief that "if you're not owned, you're not good." As our trio proves, the statement above has numerous exceptions - thirty-three to be exact (9 position players and 2 pitchers per team x 3).

Get those pens, pencils, and keyboards ready because, we're diving deep!!!

We've got an extra special crossover edition of Dynasty Deep Dive! Host Nate Eckert (@GQMiLB) is joined by a very special guest, Futures Focus host, Jeremy Mahy (@_JMahy_)!

Nate and Jeremy dive headlong into the Arizona and Florida Complex Leagues, revealing their favorite "hot start" prospects! They analyze the teenage wunderkinds putting up ridiculous stats all over the backfields.

You want deep folks? Look no further than right here at Dynasty Deep Dive!!

Episode 8 of Season 2 (our 18th overall) finds hosts Nate Eckert (@GQMiLB) and Michael Kelley (@MKelley_ND) naming their Top 5 Starting Pitchers a piece, whilst putting together a consensus Future Top 10!

On top of that, gather your diving gear because we're going, DEEP!! Mikey gives us two scarcely owned in Fantrax Leagues prospects who'll become diamonds from the roughest of seas.

Nate brings his flippers to the galley for another 3 SPs who are owned in less than 13% of all Fantrax Leagues as well!!

In addition, Nate and Michael take an exclusive tour of the Zhou Dynasty league. Five years in and running stronger than ever, the hosts just so happen to own the majority of their league's hardware (3 of 5 titles).

As Mikey grades Nate's six (+) trades already in 2026, enjoy a backstage pass through the ins and outs of all things: strategy, team construction, trade philosophy, and, plainly, how to win.

You won't want to miss this episode!

With sample sizes still growing throughout the various levels of Minor League Baseball, our hosts - Nate Eckert (@GQMiLB) and Michael Kelley (@MKelley_ND) - navigate the stormy seas of not having enough stats.

Yet they managed to come up with equally challenging lists for one another, forced to answer on the spot: whether these prospects are 'Buys,' 'Holds,' or 'Sells.' A lot of their answers may surprise you.

Knowing whether to buy, sell, or hold is a vitally important part of managing a dynasty organization. This episode taps into the very essence of deciding when, where, and how long each of the prospects mentioned should inevitably land.
