Slam Dunking Dyslexia Webinar Day 1 [two-part mini-course]

The webinar is hosted by Dr. Marianne Cintron, Dyslexia Specialist on how to help teach dyslexic students. This is also a dyslexia simulation to help empathize with these bright students.

What you’ll know by the end of the webinar: • You will be able to describe dyslexia to others. • You will understand what dyslexia feels like and the adverse impact of dyslexia on students. • You will be able to recognize dyslexia in the classroom. • You will understand the ways to teach phonological awareness. • You will learn about the Orton Gillingham Model for teaching dyslexic students and demonstrate your understanding of the structure, and the benefit of being systematic.

Dr. Marianne Cintron is a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Administration, has a Masters in General Education and one in Special Education, and has two California Teaching Credentials. She is a Dyslexia Specialist, President of Step By Step Dyslexia Solutions, and a National Teacher Trainer. She has twenty years of experience in Education, ten years as a Classroom Teacher, is an Author, App Developer, Curriculum Writer, and Speaker, Virtual Teacher Trainer and Speaker.
