MicroTCA is becoming the platform of choice for a wide range of embedded computing applications well beyond its initial telecom focus. While it supports sophisticated features including system management, redundancy, and high availability, many cost sensitive applications do not need all of these features but benefit from MicroTCA's high level of performance.
