Listen Later

Katy is also one half of Her Fight Network (HFN) doing her bit to encourage more women to fight, along with Mill from the last episode. She shares issues that relate to her, and trains Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA. Having started Taekwondo as a child at a family run gym, she now works to enable and offer such positive experiences for fellow women in martial arts through Her Fight Network and Her Network Fund.

Competing is in Katy's blood for what seems like all martial arts! With 83 medals and well over a hundred fights this woman is inspirational. She shares how comfortable and fun it is joining an all-Women's Open Mat, Interclub events. If as a woman in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu you haven't joined an Open Mat or Interclub event yet, Katy really encourages you to join the safe space and have fun, without the stress of a 'competition'!
