Hello friends! April is a very special month for us, and not (only) because of the Easter bunny! April is our male ambassador's month, and today we have the pleasure to introduce you to the very first male ambassador of this podcast, Dr John Young! Dr John is an Associate Professor at the University of Portsmouth. John is a scientist whose research aims to understand how our bladders work, how they go wrong and what we can do to treat patients' symptoms. Recently he has focussed on discovering biomarkers for disease and developing these into tests. John has a broad background in the Biological Sciences, which he argues helps with achieving new discoveries because it's sometimes possible to approach a problem from a different angle.
