Hello and welcome back to another sweaty episode of the 5 O'Clock Sweats Podcast!
In this week's episode, Ryan and Derick discuss the tragic passing of Akira Toriyama and the impact Dragon Ball has had on their lives as an anime and cultural phenomenon. The guys look back on some of their favorite Dragon Ball-related memories, such as Ryan recreating Dragon Ball battles with his childhood action figures (sound effects and all) and Derick proudly reflecting back on a drawing he did of Gohan as a kid. The Sweats then go back and forth naming some of their favorite moments from the Dragon Ball anime, including Goku's iconic first Super Saiyan transformation, That time Majin Buu turned Chi-Chi into an egg, and Gohan's emotional father-son Kamehameha to defeat Cell. The Sweats end the episode with a fitting and powerful sign off that you won't want to miss. Thank you for everything, Akira Toriyama <3.
