- It’s okay to pivot, make another choice and evolve
- Honing your soft skills (kindness, compassion and grace)
- Just getting in the room, no matter what your role is
Episode Highlights:
Make a Pivot to Evolve as a Person, Not Rinse-and-Repeat
You could be doing your dream job right now, but if you feel like you can’t connect to it anymore, that’s okay. You can always pivot and change your mind and evolve to the next stage in your life. If something no longer fills you up, you can always move on to something else and grow.
Honing Your Soft Skills
The ability to stay calm and approach any difficult situation with grace is not something that’s innate, but developed. You have to train yourself to listen, understand and engage with the other person. As human beings, communicating on the same level is fundamental. Hence, listen to understand, not to respond - even those that aren’t being said: look at body language, tenor and the tonality. Pay attention to that person, pretend like it's going to be the last time that you see them. That way, you leave people feeling really special and that they matter.
