E079-Do Not Accept The Answer of No From Someone That Is Not Qualified To Give You An Answer of Yes
“Do not accept the answer of NO from someone that is not qualified to give you the answer of YES.”
We should not be quick to give mortals too much power over our lives. Have you ever asked someone for permission regarding a situation and then, wonder why you did that after you find their answer to be weak and most likely, incorrect? When people are not sure about the answer to provide you with, they should just simply say, “I am not sure but am resourceful enough to help you find out.”
This quote is one that I live by! It makes me think of a great example to share with you. Our lifelong friend, Mike Padgett, and my daughter, Billie have radio in their blood. Once the radio bug bites you, it is in your system forever! Early on, in Mike’s career, there was a teacher that literally told him that he had a terrible voice. This teacher went as far as to tell him that he should forget about a career in radio altogether! Mike shared this information with Billie, and me, and carried it around with him, all of his life.
Not only did Mike have an exultant voice, he ended up becoming a “radio legend” in the Tri-Cities area where we live. If Mike would have listened to that teacher, he would have not had a career in radio! He would have chosen another career path, and most likely have been miserable.
It is a horrible thought that we can give in, and listen to bad opinions of other people.
Will you remember not to accept the answer of “no” from someone that is not qualified to give you the answer of “yes?”

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
