He suggests that businesses assess their technology and integrate the different pieces strategically. Ross also advises companies to plan for technology as part of their annual and quarterly goals, discuss it in leadership meetings, and provide proper onboarding and training for employees. Ross identifies three common mistakes businesses make with technology: not thinking strategically, not taking a tactical approach, and not valuing technology. He gives an example of how a tactical approach, such as setting up a CRM with customer management and billing integration, can make a job much easier. Ultimately, businesses should strive to ensure that their technology is working for them, rather than against them.
