In this episode we are joined by Brock Yordy, the product manager and drill trainer for GEFCO, an Astec Industries Company, and a writer for Driller Magazine.

 

Michael and Brock discuss Brock's experiences in the drilling industry and how important drilling is to the modern world. They also discuss how technology is pushing the industry forward with equipment such as sonic drills.

 

Brock's father owned a drilling company so he has been involved with drilling his whole life. He has trained the US military on how to drill for water when they are stationed overseas. 

 

Michael and Brock both highlight the shortage of young workers in the drilling industry and how the pandemic affected the drilling industry in the US and worldwide.
