I was very torn between acceptance and denial when it came to my diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder. I wished I had been more informed about the side effects of taking medication for my disorder. I remember the first black female therapist, Dr. Hill told me that, "I don't think you need medication, I think you need to talk". I am forever grateful for her because she helped me get back on my feet and take back my life!
