Episode Highlights:
[13:35] Separating Fear From Your Life Purpose
There comes a point in someone’s life where you see a fork in the road. Then your gut feeling will try to pull you towards a certain path. But once you start looking at it, you begin to repress that. You come up with all the different excuses why you shouldn’t be doing that. But all that is just your belief system. Once you’re able to notice that and separate fear from danger, you begin to associate fear with growth.
[15:37] The Difference Between Fear and Danger
Throughout that evolution of time, the brain was created for only one thing – survival. The brain is not meant to make you successful, feel happy, feel abundant, or feel joy because that’s not its goal. The goal is to make you survive.
And so, when your heart kind of feels it's the right thing, the brain then comes into play, telling you that you need to survive. Then it starts to associate fear and danger. However, people often misassociate both of these feelings.
Danger is something that's going to hurt, whereas fear is only you pushing your limits and your comfort zone wider and wider. Now that you have distinguished fear and danger, understand that fear is the only path that you need to take. Then you’re able to look at fear
