In this episode, I talk to John Swainston. We talk about the philosophy of photography, about making pictures versus taking pictures and seeing the way the mind's eye sees.

John talks about running Nikon Australia when he started it in the 80s, like a scrappy start-up having to reverse-engineer the product photography and the lighting setup that Nikon Japan used to reproduce his image and make images for his marketing.

I want to share with you the Lensbaby mission statement and how that might impact and relate to John's career and journey as a photographer, a creative, and a father.
