In this episode of the CEO and CSR series, Nicholas Gardner, CEO and Co-founder of Helping Habit, discusses his platform that connects volunteers and donors with causes that need them. Nicholas shares his passion for service and helping others, which led him to volunteer during his undergrad and later work in politics and as a public defender.
Nicholas discusses the challenges of volunteerism and finding ways to get involved in causes that matter to individuals. He shares his idea for a connecting hub that would provide resources and connect individuals with non-profits.
After interviewing 60 non-profits, Nicholas realized that non-profits lacked access to a whole suite of services, tools, and automation that most organizations cannot afford. This led to the creation of Helping Habit, a one-stop-shop toolbox that offers efficiency automation tools to help nonprofits scale their impact and engage with different types of organizations.
The platform was built by nonprofits for nonprofits, with feedback from nonprofit executive directors and volunteer coordinators to ensure that it solves multiple problems.
