The Story of Mr. Freeman. A lesson in happiness and ruin. The story of Mr. Freeman is the story of every person who has tried to make good in their life. An attempt to provide more for their family and enjoy life to its fullest extent. Mr. Freeman was an advertising specialist in the early 1900s who over the course of 25 years accumulated over $1 million in income for himself and his family and had nothing to show for it. He wrote an article in a local magazine as a confession to his creditors in an attempt to salvage his reputation and provide a way back. Napoleon Hill reprinted his story with permission in the 16 laws of success as a lesson in a very common process that many people go through. This process is simple, the more you make, the more you spend. This is tied directly to our habits, whichever direction they take us. In Mr. Freeman‘s case, he had a strong habit of spending and that is what his life had to show for it. He states that he had no regrets for the life he lived. He did understand though, in the end, that he did not need to spend 100% of everything he made to live that life. That there were many opportunities to tuck-away a portion of his income that would’ve saved him from his debt crisis. https://www.keybravo.com/keybravo-blog/2020/4/28/a-broke-millionaire
