E15: Teenagers with Daniel Patterson from Patterson Perspective

Daniel Patterson is talking all things teens. 

But the cool part about this episode is we had a ton of takeaways to start and implement ourselves, and we don't have any teenagers yet. 

His advice and knowledge in the parenting world is insane, and he really brought to light some impactful things for us as well to work on.


When I asked him how might you change your child's behavior around social media, video games, and screens; his answer- "Be the Example."
I can't take away screens, and sit there on my phone on the couch myself. This really resonated with me. I hope you find this episode as awesome as I did interviewing him!

  • Launched his educational-centered coaching firm 4 years ago - works with clients all over the country helping families solve complex educational or related roadblocks.

  • His next book RecoverEDU comes out this spring - and focuses on teenage mental health and substance abuse recovery
  • He’s written for the HuffPost, Thrive Global, and The Los Angeles Times.
  • He is father to 3 kids: ages 8, 4 and 2, and happily married to his wife Caroline.
