Today is an even-numbered episode so we’re using the Sunrise Series format and working our way through the week. For Move-It Monday, let’s continue with bedcercize. With the cold weather, I find it difficult to get out of bed some mornings and once I get out, I’m not necessarily thinking about exercise. Also bedcercize warms me up so sometimes I’m anxious to throw off those blankets.
Do you know how to do a sit up? Sounds like a dumb question, right? Everyone pretty much knows how to do a sit up – except they don’t. When I used to go to the gym, I’d see a lot of people doing sit ups that forced their stomach muscles out. Since I don’t want my stomach muscles to stick out, that never seemed to be that good of an idea and sure enough, it’s not. You want to sit up just enough to pull your muscles in. There’s a video on the website, GetYourFillPodcast.com, that I found on YouTube that will show you what I mean.
So while in the bed with the blankets still on, cross your arms over your chest and imagine that a string is tied to your chest and it’s pulling you up. For most of the way up, your stomach will be nice and flat and taut. If that changes and your stomach muscles push out, you’ve gone too far. The goal is not to be able to touch your nose to your knee, the goal is to make those muscles nice and flat and strong. Use the blankets for some additional natural resistance. Do a few of those to get your blood pumping.
TAGR Tuesday – we’re working our way through Napoleon Hill’s life-changing book, Think and Grow Rich. We’ve finished up the chapter on Desire and hopefully you’ve used the six-step formula to create an affirmation for yourself to get you closer to your goals. The next component is Faith. If you don’t have faith that the affirmation will work, it won’t. This is all about your emotions. Do you know how radio waves work? It’s really fascinating. The announcer talks into the microphone. Her voice is then sent up to the transmitter that increases the vibration of the sound waves. Imagine an invisible rainbow up in the air with each color of the rainbow having a different frequency. AM and FM radio have different frequencies and so maybe one would travel in the blue lane and one in the red lane.
Each station that you listen to has a different piece of that rainbow. If you want to hear 102.5 FM, you tune your receiver – your radio – to pick up that frequency. When you invoke the law of attraction, which is what Napoleon Hill is teaching us to do, you’re raising your own vibration. The higher your vibration, the higher level of things and people and experiences that you attract into your life. The higher your vibration, the more likely that the life you’re trying to attract will hear you – because these experiences that you desire are tuned in or listening to the higher frequency. If you don’t have faith that what you’re doing works, you won’t be able to reach that high frequency. Does that make sense?
How can you have faith? How about if you just take my word for it? That might work for some people but for me, I like to see things in action. If you’re like me, you can try it. When you see that it works on something very small, then keep trying it on bigger and bigger things until you honestly and
