Doing the Deep Work and Deliberate Practice

You've got to master hard things to float to the top to differentiate yourself from your competition. Then yuo become someone that people will seek and you will grow in any industry.

Deliberate practice is doing something with the intent of getting better in a specific area. For instance, if you want to be a good baseball player, you've got to learn all the parts of the sport. It’s an organized way of practicing. Focus your time and energy in specific areas until you learn them, and then move on to the next.

    Building a Remote Workforce

Having a remote workforce is not only a way of running a business, it’s a way of life. A VA or virtual assistant can do anything you can imagine. You can streamline and get someone to do things for you.

    1. Small steps - They don't need to have your personal information right away. They can have a credit card you use for business where you put in money on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.

    2. Rapid fire testing - If you have an important project, hire three people initially, and tell them they're on a test run for the project. Show them the bigger project, but tell them you're going to hire them for one day. It’s not an interview since it’s paid.

Things to look for when hiring a remote team:

    • Reliability - How fast do they respond?
    • Make sure they have reliable internet.
    • Any refresher courses they’ve taken in the last 6 months
    • Attention to detail
