**Trigger Warning - Mention Of Suicide**
In this episode we speak with Jodie, a young woman with severe agoraphobia who has now been housebound for three years.
Jodie started having panic attacks in year 6 when everyone started going on school trips, and she felt nothing but terror at the idea of going.
It progressed gradually from there and the anxiety got worse until Jodie was sleeping on her mums bedroom floor at the age of 14.
Jodie tried to get help from mental health professionals on multiple occasions and was consistently told she had generalised anxiety disorder, despite knowing she was dealing with agoraphobia.
After years of being ignored by the health system and not receiving the support she desperately needed, Jodie tried to commit suicide.
Luckily Jodie survived and is here to tell her story.
