Katrin Bader, an Austrian artist living in Spain, radiates creativity and self-taught brilliance. Her art bursts with vibrant expressions of joy and positivity. Her journey began in childhood, but she initially pursued a different path as a teacher. However, her artistic spirit couldn't be contained. During her training, she discovered a love for drama and clowning, paving the way for her unique artistic endeavors.

Immersing herself in hospital clowning for almost five years transformed Katrin. Despite personal struggles, she found solace in spreading laughter and happiness, drawing inspiration from iconic clowns like Robin Williams. Art became her sanctuary during life's ups and downs. She rekindled her passion through small sketchbook creations and adult coloring books, providing a haven of personal time and release. Fearlessly embracing larger-scale paintings, she relished the freedom and expressive power they unleashed.

Katrin's art weaves playfulness and fun, often adorning masks or glasses to explore different facets of her personality with bravery and mystery. Her intention is simple yet powerful – to bring joy and inspiration to others, gifting them a respite from the daily grind. In her contribution to the Creative Life book, she shared a hack called "Hugo goes on holiday," humorously personifying the critical voice in our heads. By sending it on vacation, she empowers others to pursue their passions without inhibition.

Interestingly, Katrin's inner critic rarely haunts her while painting. When in her creative zone, she feels at peace, immersed in the pure joy of creating. It's in other aspects of life where the critic tends to resurface. Her journey reminds us of the liberating power of artistic expression and the importance of cultivating a safe space where creativity can flourish. By embracing our passions and silencing our inner critics, we can unleash our true potential and bring our unique artistry into the world alongside Katrin's radiant spirit.
