Bizarre how our universities have frequently been built as havens of the elite to increase their ranks.  Please note this statement is filled with sarcasm.  While some of us had truly lovely experiences while working on a degree, difficulties still abound for many.   

Chapter four in  Ijeoma Oluo’s timely book, Mediocre: The Dangerous Legacy of White Male America, hits an especially personal note with the gals this episode.
