Welcome to episode 2 of the Product30 Podcast, where I’m on a mission to uncover what makes highly successful products.
In this episode, I sit down with Hugo Cheyne. A close friend of mine working in the world of Legal Tech. Hugo has a varied background having studied economics at university, leading the finance society at Warwick, and then moving to work with the venture capital giant, Global founders capital in Berlin.
After his stint in VC Hugo, took his passion for startups to work at a Legal tech firm: Seedlegals. Seedlegals make the process of raising finance easy at seed stage and beyond. As Hugo will talk about, they are the one-stop-shop for all startup legals. But much like the tens of thousands of startups who have raised more than 500 billion pounds with Seedlegals, Hugo and his team have had to adopt a pragmatic and agile mindset. Creating a scalable Saas style business that takes the legal headache away from founders is not easy, and we'll more find out how they are building products that tackle this challenge
In the next 30 minutes, Hugo and I discuss the importance and limitations of data analysis, empathy for your developers & how to structure your product teams when the company is growing.
