In this episode, we unpack the components of classroom culture and how it can be designed intentionally in a destreamed classroom. Using Zaretta Hammond's 'ready for rigour' framework from her book, "Culturally responsive teaching and the brain," we discuss the opportunity and need for a different type of teacher-student relationship. We also discuss setting up a destream classroom for success (both learning space and culture).
