The hero’s journey is a story template. It’s often used to create action films and its first stage is the call to adventure.

The call is typically an ambitious goal that will change the world. There will be intense obstacles that will tempt our hero to refuse the call. This is what makes the audience excited to see how perseverance unfolds.
