sister sadada (she/they) is a student of liberatory practices: She lives in her body and vacations in her mind. She is Black Nipmuc and an embodied liberation teacher who works with individuals and groups who do the work of healing and educating. The aim of her work is to guide embodied liberation in our relationships and our structures.
Since 2012, she has provided professional consulting and mentoring services to people in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. From leadership development to instructional solutions, her focus is always curating the causes and conditions for liberatory practice and liberated practitioners. She has earned two masters: a Master’s in Theological Studies from Harvard in indigenous traditions, and an MEd from UMass in secondary English language arts through Boston teacher’s residency program and a bachelors of art in theater with a minor in English from UMass as well.
She believes that a love-based relationship with our bodies is essential to liberation. She approaches her work as a guide, supporting the development and deepening of embodied love-based relationships and structures.
During our conversation with her, sister sadada shares her perspectives on the scarcity mindset and how its opposite, the abundance mindset, is important to one’s sense of freedom. Through that framework, we explore generational legacies and briefly discuss Black liberation.
