Ever been struck by lightning? Well, today’s guest, Mark Hentemann, has been struck by lightning, not only literally while he was drawing caricatures at SeaWorld, but also metaphorically, when he got fired from the David Letterman Show.
But what seemed to be the biggest punch in the face of his career turned out to be the best moment of his career. He used such failure as fuel to do better, eventually becoming an Emmy-nominated writer and producer of the popular sitcom Family Guy.
