Sleep is the most important, yet most often neglected health factor. Without sleep you won’t be able to perform and focus well, your immune system gets weakened, your mental health suffers and hormone production gets messed up. Lack of quality sleep has even been linked to unwanted weight gain. So you can see, not sleeping enough, or not sleeping well wreaks havoc on your mental and physical health.

When it comes to sleep, the amount you get obviously matters. We all know we should sleep at least 7 hours, better even 8 hours a night. What many people don’t talk and think about though, is sleep quality. You can sleep a lot but still feel exhausted. That’s because the sleep quality wasn’t good enough to effectively recover.
