This past summer, our host Jarrett Carpenter (@jcrpntr) participated in a Black Lives Matter march from City hall in downtown Beverly, MA to the Unitarian Universalist church in Marblehead, MA. The ending point was strategic as that congregation’s Black Lives Matter banner had been previously, over the last couple of months, vandalized or ripped down. It was at the end of the March, where local and community leaders shared their thoughts on race in America and the work that lay ahead.
