E29. Is Google Anti-Gun? Warrior Cloud's Founder Reveals Shocking Discovery!

Listen Later

Hey, guys! Ryan here, and I want to share with you my recent experience with Google Ads. I was studying this book on Google Ads, bought some courses, and was building my seed keyword list for Warrior Cloud's launching. My goal was to drive consistent high-quality traffic to instructor sites for faster sales and conversions. However, things took a dramatic turn when I was using Google Keyword Planner, and all of my keywords got deleted!

I was confused and frustrated as I had used keywords like "Florida concealed carry" and "firearm safety," which were not prohibited under Google's terms. When I contacted the Google representative, he informed me that my keywords were deleted because they promoted violence and weapons. I was shocked and angry, as concealed carry is a legal practice in the US, and it was not on the prohibited list. It felt like Google was purposely making it more difficult for firearm-related advertising.

However, I realized that I had a choice to either accept this or take action. I want to share with you five bullet points that I learned from this experience:

🔥 Build a Seed Keyword List: Start by brainstorming and creating a list of keywords that describe your product or service. This list should include as many relevant terms as possible, and you can use tools like Google Trends, Google Suggest, and Answer the Public to find new keywords.

🔥 Use Google Keyword Planner: Once you have your seed keyword list, use Google Keyword Planner to refine it. This tool will provide you with new keyword ideas and help you determine which ones are most relevant to your business.

🔥 Narrow Down Your Keyword List: After you have a more refined keyword list, narrow it down to the most relevant and profitable keywords for your business. You can use tools like Google Trends, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to see which keywords are driving traffic and conversions.

🔥 Be Aware of Google Ad Policies: Before you create ads, make sure you are familiar with Google's ad policies. Google has a list of prohibited and restricted content that you cannot promote. Make sure your keywords are not violating these policies.

🔥 Take Action: If you encounter any issues with Google Ads, don't give up. Contact their support team and ask for clarification on their policies. It's essential to advocate for your business and stand up for your beliefs.

In conclusion, Google Ads can be a valuable tool for driving traffic and sales to your business. However, it's crucial to follow their policies and be aware of any restrictions on content. If you encounter any issues, don't give up and take action. Remember that your business is important, and you should stand up for what you believe in.
