Close encounters of a psychological nature is, I think, a very good way to describe Dr. Joseph Burkes' experience attempting to initiate contact with an alien consciousness. Long before CE5 was known to the majority of the UFO community, Dr. Burkes was one of the pioneers, along with Dr. Steven Greer, who made progress with CE5 techniques. After years of experience and study, Joseph has come to appreciate that there is a profoundly positive impression made when alien consciousness and human consciousness meet.

Dr. Burkes received his M.D. degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston Massachusetts. He was born in New York City in 1949. He has been a lifelong activist in peace and social justice movements. During the Vietnam War he organized students in antiwar protest activities and in 1979 he co-founded the Los Angeles Committee on Occupational Safety and Health, a coalition of medical and legal professionals assisting the labor movement to make the American work place safer.
