After the assault against genetics and knowledge comes against humanity, God responds by sending four archangels to round up the giants and imprison their fallen angel fathers. To Azazel is ascribed all of the sins of the fallen angels - and he is bound deep within the desert to await the "great" judgement. The remaining fallen angels are bound for 70 generations. Their judgement day arrived when Christ was crucified on the cross.
