Prodigal Peas in a Pod

E38 | Prodigal Peas in a Pod - Boundaries and Forgiveness

Listen Later

“Boundaries are biblical”… but what if that’s not the whole question?

In this episode of Prodigal Peas in a Pod, we step into the tension many of us feel but rarely name: when does a boundary come from wisdom and love and when does it come from fear, control, or self-protection dressed up as maturity? We talk about why some boundaries feel righteous but leave us hardened, how forgiveness complicates our desire for distance, and whether we’re sometimes asking boundaries to do the job only God can do.

Together, we wrestle with uncomfortable questions: Is this boundary helping me love better or just feel safer? Am I obeying God or protecting myself because I don’t trust Him to protect me? And what does it look like to let God be the refuge?

This conversation isn’t about tearing down boundaries. It’s about examining what's behind them. Because wisdom doesn’t always feel safe, love doesn’t always feel protected, and sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is sit with the questions a little longer.
