Remote Art Talks

E4 Alison Postma - Creating contemporary still-lives using mundane and day-to-day materials

Listen Later

In this episode we take a peek into Toronto-based artist Alison Postma’s mind and learn about where these always dreamy and often quirky images she creates come from. P.S. we even got a mini tour around her home-studio! 👀

Alison Postma graduated from the University of Guelph’s undergraduate studio art program in 2016 and is now based in Toronto. Her work has focused on themes of perception in dreams and ideas of the future from the past. Most recently her practice has focused on physically getting to know objects. Alison’s practice is always informed by the mundane and day-to-day, usually by materials encountered and stories overheard.
