Tonight marks the beginning of Rosh HaShanah. Known as the Jewish new year, the words literally translate to “head of the year.” Tonight we will flip our Hebrew calendars from 5781 to 5782. As we celebrate this holiday we undertake a number of symbolic rituals. In this episode Michele explains the meaning behind several Rosh HaShanah symbols.
