For more than 40 years, John has spiritually mentored hundreds of thousands of adults, students, executives, athletes, and celebrities. John has reached around 1 million men through a ministry he founded called "The Gathering" and he started one the first team chaplain programs in the NBA and has served in similar capacities for multiple professional sports teams. He is frequently called upon by major corporations to keynote conferences and seminars. Weekly he encourages men and women through his video message #RedGlassesTalk. He has published two books: "Take a Knee" and "The Four Priorities". He received his Master of Divinity from Columbia University and his Doctorate of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. He's married to Punky Leonard Tolson and is the father of two children and three grandchildren.
