E5: Why Stories Are Important, and The Beauty In Imperfection. A Conversation With A Young Actor and Director.

Listen Later

On this weeks episode I sit down with young actor and director Josh Turner to discuss his journey to becoming a classically trained actor and director, why storytelling is so important to modern society, and the balance of masculinity in the arts. Josh is an Atlanta native, graduated with his BFA in Acting from the Gainesville Theatre Alliance. His desire to tell stories was born at an early age through the influence of his grandfather, Ural Smith Jr. This began an early belief that great stories can change lives and transform hearts. An upcoming Actor and director; he has directed new works such as The Just Us League, and acted in shows like Hands Up, The Tempest, and Unto These Hills. He also works as a director, stage manager, carpenter, playwright, and actor combatant. You can find Josh on instagram @josh_turner999 or on his website www.joshturneractor.com.
