For three consecutive hike/runs on different mountains I scared the bejeezus out of a (or a covey) of grouse. I was curious what the medaning of this might be, for the experiences were too similar to dismiss as mere coincidence. It turns out that grouse shares a wonderful message for this time of year - listen in to hear more, and more ways to connect with nature as we approach the autumnal equinox.
